    Hi Grace,

Been trying to get ahold of you for a while.

My last order/delivery from your shop left out 2 bottles of MegaSporeBiotic.

Thank you Kelsey. WE contacted you to complete the Megaspore survey. Did you get this? We will send again to your email and please check your spam. We cannot release the product without the survey completed. Thank you for your patience

  • Interesting but such a low strength, why?

      HI Andy

Sometimes size doesn’t matter lol. Many still report changes with one cap daily.

In fact I have encouraged G|B to consider a high potency version and now they are in the works to build a more potent version.

Hi Grace, I see you are big on probiotics for treating gut problems. I read probiotics are not good for resolving SIBO and can make it worse by fueling archaebacteria in the small bowel. What are your thoughts on Atrantil in combination with probiotics for SIBO treatment? I am pretty certain that I do have SIBO but my ubiome results did not show any archaebacteria so I am now thinking I may have something else. Thank you

    • Bobby

I would love for Dr Grace to reply to your comment. I am experimenting with atrantil and raw garlic at the moment. It is very frustrating that everyone has a different opinion on how to treat SIBO. Why is no one discussing the possibility of bacteria good or bad can stick in the small intestine if it isnt functioning correctly in the first place? And also, Ive used a whole 100 dollar bottle of bifido maximus and it was powder. I didnt notice anything but perhaps I wasnt ready for it. I was desperate then..Now Im little more careful. Was my probiotic not suppose to be powder? To be honest this website and others are awfully confusing…

Hi Grace – quick question for you: does it get easier with the inulin? I can do psyllium and acacia but the inulin is causing a lot of stinky gas and bloating. I’m starting uber small too – less than 1/8th of a tsp. Thank you so much for all the info you put out. I totally stripped my gut down to nothing (dx as a “sick gut” by my highly UNqualified doc) with keto diet and several rounds of cipro antibx. I have gradually started working back in many of the items you mention in your 7 steps to cure SIBO article and thankfully, I’m finding my way back when no other doc/practitioner knew what to do with me. I shudder at how much money I have spent with no resolution. Much appreciated what you share here!

Sounds like you are on the right path to optimal health. Weeding the gardens of your gut with cipro and/or keto actually is not really very effective. You’ve probably selected and overgrown some super tenacious opportunists. Have you considered BIFIDO|MAXIMUS probiotic? Let us know who we can help you at The Gut Institute — soon we will be enrolling for the Group Classes specifically for guts like yours. 7 Steps is awesome but often not enough after significant damage with low fiber diets, keto and antibiotics

Hi Dr. G – Thank you for your reply. Just received my BIFIDO|MAXIMUS and am working my way up to 7 caps/day. Also taking it along with PA SBO. YES….would love to be a part of our group classes coming up so will watch for more info. THANK YOU again for taking the time to reply. You are AWESOME and I’m so thankful. 🙂

What is the therapeutic dose? I am guessing the maintenance is once a day.

      Dave

I think the maintenance dosage for each person is individual and not well studied. Some of my clients do great on 3 to 7 caps daily or rotate with other soil based probiotics

Common initial side effects from starting a full course of Bionic Fiber? My skin is having some dryness/redness (psoriasis/eczema-like) issues in small places. I’m not sure if this is my body clearing out some crap or a reaction to the Bionic Fiber course. Thanks for whatever insight you can provide ! Love your work, Dr. G. My head is so much clearer.

    • DrGracePharmD-Gut_Goddess

      Jack B Nimble ~

So glad to hear your brain-gut-butt are better!

No not really — I think skin reactions should be minimal. Are you using BIFIDO|MAXIMUS probiotic? Consider using a potent probiotic (without Strep, without histamine-producing strains)

      • Jack B. Nimble

Bifido|Maximus is on the way. Just got my uBiome results back. Who can help me interpret them?

        • DrGracePharmD-Gut_Goddess

          Jack B Sprite~

Have you considered any pathogen screening stool kits? we have at the iApothecary or any functional med practice should offer

          • Jack B. Nimble

Never considered PSS Kit. Just got uBiome back last week. DUTCH test results on the way in 1-2 weeks. In general, I’d like to get a clearer overall picture of hormones and gut and start use of Bifido | Maximus before further testing. Have been taking Primal Probiotic for about 4 months. https://d2wu4z6q8vok4i.cloudfront.net/media/contenttype/flora_label_1.jpg

Also looking at Prescript Assist. B|M, Prescript Assist and Primal Probiotic are all fairly different collections of strains and quantities. Still researching all this.
Started the Bionic Fiber shakes with 2 cups unsw. coconut milk, I cup blueberries, 2 TBSP collagen, 1 TBSP Inulin, 1 TBSP Acacia fiber, 2 scoops FSH whey protein (from A2 cows). BMs much better and weight decreasing for the past 2 weeks.

Bottom line: Trying to get pregnant unsuccessfully for ~1.5 years. Want to give my “swim team” the best help they can get. Gut came back pretty bad. Firmicutes: 80.33% Bacteroidetes: 18.29% Akkermansia: 0.01% https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/2befda7bfe76f2009f447e29406af045b61bff03224f4296d044077400ad1ed2.jpg https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/061394008165d6eedc6015208b496748a27ccd34cb4f2ea13ed8dbcce062e666.jpg

Hopefully DUTCH will provide accurate recent hormone levels. Had a bilateral varicocelectomy ~4 months ago to improve count/motility. Swimmer panel in ~2 weeks for surgery efficacy results.

            Jack B Quick~

AWESOME!! Sounds like a fantastic plan! Your swim team should thrive soon! It is important to address multiple levels of inflammation from the gut, gonad and adrenal viewpoints. Let us know how we can help out with customized plans for you

          • Jack B. Nimble

Just got the DUTCH hormone panel back. Got some work to do..

  • Clément Demaria

    Hello Grace!
As suggested by you in a previous comment, I contacted you using the contact form for a consult and sent the same message to the Gut Institute email address. I have a very severe Clostridium and Candida albicans overgrowth, as well as methane dominant SIBO and severe intestinal hyperpermeability and I’m at a loss regarding how to proceed.
I’m very ready to work with you. I’d love to hear from you soon.
    Thank you very much
